Our commitment and mission

We are all musicians at ANSIR Music. Each are on a perpetual journey searching for the elusive perfect tone and the perfect playing instrument. We believe that tone is a byproduct of three very important areas.

#1, and by far the most important, is the player and the way they extract their sound from their instrument.
Jaco was once asked how he got his tone. Was it the instrument? Was it the amp? He said it was in his fingers!!

#2 is the instrument, not the electronics.
Play one of our basses acoustically and you instantly hear the difference. Each and every one of our instruments is crafted in our shop from hand chosen exotic tone woods. We sculpt and carve each and every body by hand. We do not use CNC machines. We have a personal attachment to each and every instrument that leaves our shop.

#3 is your choice of amplification and sound shaping devices.
We believe that the majority of electronic sound shaping should be done after the instrument and not on board the instrument.

What this means

  • NONE OF OUR BASSES ARE EXACTLY ALIKE!!
  • NONE OF OUR BASSES SOUND EXACTLY ALIKE!!
  • BECAUSE TWO PIECES OF WOOD ARE EXACTLY ALIKE!!

This does not mean that the appearance or integrity of the instruments will falter.

EACH AND EVERY ONE OF OUR INSTRUMENTS IS UNIQUE AND ONE OF A KIND!! THEY WILL GIVE A LIFETIME OF ENJOYMENT!!

Our guarantee

Each of our instruments comes with a certificate of authenticity - signed, dated and logged into our records. None of our basses will leave our shop unless it passes a strict quality control inspection and sound check. We will on occasion call a previous client and discuss their thoughts on the instrument.

We are now offering a two week return policy no questions asked.

If for some reason you are truly unhappy, contact us and we will resolve the matter in a fair and timely fashion.
An unhappy customer is against our philosophy and will not happen.

Any one who purchases an instrument from us will become part of the ANSIR family. You will be involved in the building process. We will e-mail you pictures and questions about the woods as we build your instrument.

If at any time a problem occurs with one of our instruments and can not be fixed by a local luthier, we will repair it. If we can do it for free we will. We are not in the repair business for the money.

We will not build or sell an instrument unless we talk to the purchaser and discuss their vision.
We are extremely confident with our instruments and feel with a little care they will last for generations!
